Tatung TV Tuning Instructions

Tatung C series with X button

The Tatung C series TVs are equipped with a Childlock which is quite often set on to prevent any accidental adjustments being made. This will stop any adjustments being made to the TV Tuning and therefore must be disabled before any TV Tuning can take place.

Disabling the Childlock

1. Switch the TV OFF using the on/off switch on the front panel

2. press and hold down P+ on front panel, while switching set ON

3. release P+ button

The childlock will now be disabled. Repeat steps 1-3 to re-enable if required.

Auto-TV Tuning should be avoided.

TV Tuning

1. press the button on the front panel that produces the on-screen display

2. press P- on the front panel, pressing this button will select manual TV Tuning

3. press and hold + or - to search up or down. When a signal is found release the button. If this is not the station required, continue holding the + or- button to continue.

4. press the key to toggle AFC on/off so that AFC is ON.

5. use + or - to fine tune

6. press X to return to manual TV Tuning

7. press P+ or P- to select the program number required

8. press the store key

9. press X twice to return to normal operation

General Tip

The 0<>0 Nicam button is often used to access the TV Tuning menu.

In some cases it may be necessary to press and hold the menu button
